  • has or is completing a Masters in Education Administration
  • is an experienced educator and leader
  • holds or is eligible for Maine Principal’s Certification
  • has knowledge of curriculum design and implementation as well as an ability to lead related professional development
  • has prior administrative experience, preferably in a Catholic school

Job Description: St. John's Catholic School is seeking a qualified, experienced educator to provide both spiritual and dynamic educational leadership for our school for the 2017-2018 school year and beyond. The Principal reports to the Pastor and is responsible for facilitating a safe environment conducive to quality teaching and learning, fostering a community of faith and learning based on Catholic teaching. The principal is responsible for supervising faculty and staff and growing and fostering strong collaborative relationships among parents, students, and staff. The principal is also responsible for maintaining a close working relationship with the pastor and the parish pastoral leadership team.

About our School: St. John's Catholic School is located in Brunswick, Maine serving approximately 130 students in Grades Pre-K to 8. Our School features a rich and full curriculum, small class sizes, strong family involvement, and a diverse and experienced faculty. Our school has access to many community resources and is a school that is in the process of developing its vision and plans for the future. St. John's Catholic School is part of All Saints Parish. Our parish is a Roman Catholic faith community of Midcoast Maine; our six churches are located in Brunswick and Bath, along the beautiful rocky Maine coast to Newcastle and Boothbay Harbor, and inland to Richmond. Our summer chapel is located in Harpswell. The Midcoast region offers a variety of cultural activities, is home to Bowdoin College, and The Maine State Music Theatre, to name a few. Substitute Teachers (Grades PK-8)

St. John’s Catholic School in Brunswick is looking for substitute teachers for all grade levels (PK - 8). Substitute teachers will be required to complete Safe Environment Training. Classroom experience is required.
