An afternoon bus is available for Brunswick residents in grades K-8. The bus leaves the school at 3:00pm and goes to Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary School (HBS). Students must transfer at HBS to their neighborhood bus.
SJCS offers a comprehensive hot lunch program through SAD 75.
Orders must be placed each morning.
Special Education & Title I
SJCS does not offer a special education program.
Although, as part of a Christian community, we work directly with parents and with the Brunswick Special Education Department in order to facilitate the most educational setting for a child with a documented Special Education need.
We have a Title I Reading Specialist five days a week from the Brunswick School Department and classroom volunteers to make sure we meet the needs of children who require individual help. We also work closely with parents to ensure that their child meets their personal and academic developmental potential. Teachers are routinely available for children who need extra help.
Please see more information in the Parent Handbook.
Think First, Stay Safe
Because personal safety is so important, we provide a comprehensive personal safety program, Think First and Stay Safe, every year in all grades. This program teaches students who participate to have valuable life skills to help them recognize and avoid people, situations, and decisions that threaten their personal safety. Students will be able to recognize, trust, and follow their instincts about people and situations.
All of our students are required to wear the school uniform on a daily basis as described in the Uniform and Grooming Handbook.
